This Day in Springsteen History: January 24

Two stops on this day and I'm proud to say one of them is my hometown of Ottawa, Canada.

Springsteen hit the Ottawa Civic Centre in 1981 while crossing the globe on The River tour. It would be the last show in Ottawa until The Rising tour in 2003 -- a span of 22 years! I guess we did not impress. He was back here in 2005 with Devils and Dust so we must have done something right, finally.

The second show finds him in Providence again during the Born in the USA tour. The second night in a row for him, playing the Civic Center again.
