Can you imagine performing at a bowling alley and being told that Bruce Springsteen and Patti were there in the audience? I wouldn't believe it either if it weren't Bruce, and if it wasn't in Asbury Park.
Wanda Jackson was skeptical when she heard Bruce Springsteen had come to see her perform at a bowling alley in Asbury Park, N. J., last month. "It's like 'Oh, sure. And I'm expecting the president, too,' " said the rockabilly queen, who comes to Plush on Wednesday, during a phone interview last week from Oklahoma. "It was a bowling alley, for Pete's sake!"
Bruce "watched the show from a nearby bowling ball return machine" and then visited with Jackson after the show.
